Notes from Classmates from 2007

Note from Wendy (Garrett) Maxey
I have been in Oklahoma this time for 3 years and love it also. We have a great home here; a lake with campground for boating, fishing, swimming, etc. The campground has RV parking with full hookups. My daughter, Melissa and her family have moved out here also. She has two children one boy, 16 yrs and one girl 13 yrs. I am a genealogy buff; I make hand made jewelry; I do plastic canvas needlepoint and photography.

Note from Bill Miles
Thanks for catching up with me. I won’t be attending the reunion next week. I retired from Yuba City Fire Department in 2005 and we [my wife, Karen, and Colton (11) and Alison (8)] moved to Corvallis, Oregon about a year ago and our trips to Sutter County have been reduced to a couple of times a year. It would be great to see everyone again, maybe next time.

Note from Carol (Thayer) Harris
I was so sorry to miss our reunion. . . .Graciela Ramos was here a week before the reunion. She and her daughter Melissa’s family flew out to check out the area and visit. Same old Gracie she hasn’t changed a bit. . . I would have loved to see everyone but don’t mind my address being given out should anyone want to contact me. I do talk via email to Randy Hill once in a while but outside of Gracie, that’s about it. I Would like to stay in contact, since I still work full time and raise our 9 year old grand-daughter I stay pretty busy but although I usually don’t answer emails right away I do answer eventually.

Note from Susan (Williams) Cook
I just arrived home recently from two months in Kenya working in a school, and I am so sorry to have missed the reunion!! I had been wondering if one would materialize anytime soon. Believe it or not, my husband Peter and I still live at the same address in San Francisco and I still work at the same school. I’m currently on a half-year sabbatical and that’s why I was able to be in Kenya during school time. While there, I was doing teacher training in a sister school to my school here in San Francisco, so I wasn’t exactly relaxing. I’ve been there three times previously and it was exciting to see old acquaintances and observe changes and progress. My school is a ‘Waldorf’ school, so we have our own methods and way of doing things.

My three kids are being productive and have reached the stage of independence that feels good to me! Jason (33) is a real estate broker in Santa Cruz, James (30) is a builder is Santa Cruz, and Lauren (24) is in the Peace Corps in Mozambique. No grandchildren as yet, bus Jason’s been married for four years, so there is a promise.
